Before installing the slewing bearing, the installation area of the main motor should first be checked. It is necessary that the support has sufficient strength, the connecting surface machined, and the surface is smooth and free of deposits and burrs. For those who cannot be machined to achieve the required flatness, special plastics with high splash strength can be used as fillers to ensure the accuracy of the installation plane and reduce vibration. The clamping ring of the slewing bearing has a quenched soft band area marked "S" on the end face of the clamping ring. When installing, the position of the soft belt should be placed in the non-load area or in the non-normal load area (the dowel hole is always in the soft belt.
When installing the slewing bearing, radial positioning should first be carried out, the fastening screws cross-tightened and the rotation of the bearing checked. To ensure a smooth bearing drive, the gears should be checked for engagement before tightening the mounting screws. When tightening the screw, there should be sufficient preload force, and the preload force should be 70% of the yield strength of the screw material. Fastening screws should be equipped with tempered flat washers, and spring washers are strictly prohibited. After the slewing bearing has been installed and put into operation, after 100-hour continuous operation, the advance torque of the fastening screws should be fully checked to ensure it meets the requirements, and the above inspection should be repeated every 500-hour continuous operation.
After the slewing bearing is installed, a reasonable amount of grease should be filled, and the slewing bearing should be filled while the bearing is pivoted to distribute the grease evenly. After the slewing bearing has been in operation for some time, it inevitably loses some of the grease, so the slewing bearing should be refilled with grease every 50 to 100 hours in normal operation. For slewing bearings operating in high temperature or dusty environments, the time to add grease should be correspondingly shorter. If the machine is to be stopped for storage, it must also be filled with sufficient fat.
